Salt Lake City, UT – May 9, 2025 – Huntsman Mental Health Foundation today announced Miranda Barnard as president, effective immediately.
“We are excited for this next chapter in the organization with Miranda as president,” said Christena Huntsman-Durham, CEO and chair of the board, Huntsman Mental Health Foundation. “Her business, nonprofit and leadership talents are exactly what we need to grow our ability to take on the challenges of mental health in our country.”
Miranda succeeds Heidi Woodbury, vice president, University Advancement at the University of Utah, who was serving in a dual role as interim president.
“We are grateful for Heidi’s willingness to step in during a time of transition,” said Christena Huntsman-Durham. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Heidi and the University.”
Miranda held senior leadership positions at various organizations including CHG Healthcare, HealthEquity, Vivint Solar, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. She has an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southern Utah University.
Under Miranda’s leadership, Huntsman Mental Health Foundation will expand its fundraising for mental health treatment and research across the country. Fundraising dollars, for example, helped Huntsman Mental Health Institute build the Kem and Carolyn Gardner Mental Health Crisis Care Center. The Crisis Care Center is the nation’s first center to integrate community services, training and research with mental health crisis care.
