You do not have to disclose any information on our site. However, while browsing some sites, you may find your needs can be better accessed by disclosing some information. The information you provide will not be sold, traded, or leased to any other organization outside of HMHF and the University of Utah, without your prior written consent.

We may use demographic information that does not personally identify you and/or information you voluntarily provide, to improve the features of the site or for general statistical purposes.

As with any site you visit on the Internet, HMHF does collect certain system information from its users. Our site automatically stores the following information during your visit:

3. SMS Messaging

3.1 Mobile Number Collection & Use
When you provide your mobile phone number to the Huntsman Mental Health Foundation (HMHF)—for example, through a donation form, event signup, or contact request—you consent to receive text message communications from us. Your mobile number will never be shared, sold, traded, or leased to any third party outside of HMHF and the University of Utah, without your explicit prior written consent.
 
3.2 Purpose of SMS Communications
We use SMS messages for the following purposes:
  • Promotions such as fundraising campaigns and special event announcements.
  • Alerts regarding urgent updates or policy changes.
  • Updates such as newsletters, impact reports, and upcoming opportunities or resources.

3.3 Message Frequency
You can expect to receive approximately one message per month, with a maximum of four messages per month depending on campaigns and events.

3.4 Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply as determined by your mobile service provider.
 
3.5 Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time. To stop receiving messages, simply reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation reply, after which no further SMS will be sent unless you choose to opt in again.
 
3.6 Privacy Assurance
Our SMS communications are governed by all other provisions of this Privacy Policy. Your mobile number will be used exclusively for HMHF communications and remains protected under the same confidentiality commitments described throughout this policy.

4. IP Addresses

As stated above, we collect your computer’s IP address during your visit. An IP address is the number automatically assigned to your computer that allows computers and servers to recognize and communicate with each other. We use IP addresses to determine the geographic characteristics of our users and to allow internal users to view internal pages. Analyzing geographical information allows us to make this site more accessible to our users.
