What to Expect at Youth Crisis Care

When a child is experiencing a mental health crisis, knowing where to turn can feel overwhelming. The Youth Crisis Care Program at Huntsman Mental Health Institute was created to provide immediate, compassionate support in a safe, welcoming environment for children, teens, and their families 24/7/365.

The new What to Expect video walks you through each step of the experience, from the initial assessment and short-term stabilization to family involvement and personalized follow-up care. It offers reassurance, answers common questions, and helps families know what to expect before they ever walk through our doors.

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, teacher, coach, or simply someone who cares about the well-being of young people, we encourage you to watch the video and share it with others. You never know when this resource could support a family to find the help they need.

Because of your support, children and teens receive expert mental health care when they need it most, giving families hope during life’s most difficult moments.

Watch the video, share it with someone you care about, and consider making a gift to help more young people receive lifesaving mental health care when they need it most.
